The current clubhouse was opened in 2003 by the Captain of the day Noel Malone accompanied by The President of the Golfing Union of Ireland Michael O’Donoghue and Ita Butler, President of The Irish Ladies Golfing Union.
Ardee Golf Club’s objective was to create a contemporary facility that would serve the needs of members and visitors by providing a modern, comfortable and welcoming environment to complement its well established and high quality golf course.
The main foyer presents a combination of the historical aspects of the club in the form of the pictures of former Captains and Presidents and the winning pennants and cups. At the top of the main stairway, portraits of three significant past members of the club are presented, namely Peter McDonnell, Fr Shane Cullen and Paddy Taaffe. These portraits by renowned artist Padraig Lynch were commissioned by their golfing friends to honour their considerable contribution to the success of the club. The ground floor houses the Professional Shop which is one of the best stocked golf pro shops in the area. Resident Golf professional Scott Kirkpatrick who has been providing the service since 2001 ensures his shop serves the needs of members and visitors with a broad range of equipment and clothing from all of the major brands.
The locker rooms are spacious and well kept and provide comfort and dignity at the end of your game of golf. The lounge and restaurant are located on the first floor, which provides views of the golf course from a large balcony with a spacious patio. An ideal place to enjoy a summer drink after your round.
