Established in 1911 and with over a century of golfing history behind it, the Club has become one of the premier golfing destinations in Ireland’s North East. Situated in the centre of Co. Louth and only 5 miles west of the M1 Dublin-Belfast motorway (junction 14), it is only 45 minutes from Dublin city, making it very accessible from both north and south. Ardee town is sited at the junction of the N52 west and the old Dublin-Derry road (N2) and as such also provides excellent accessibility from the west and north-west.

The Club offers a mature 18-hole parkland course that is very playable while at the same time presenting a challenge to golfers of all skill levels.


An outstanding feature of Ardee Golf Club is that it is one of the most playable parkland golf courses in the region. During 2012 the club completed significant work to improve drainage on the course, the result of which is that we lose far fewer playing days each year because of bad weather, than almost any other parkland course in our region. Essentially our course is open all year round and only links courses can rival us for fewer days lost as a result of poor weather.

The Club embarked on a programme of course development in 2017. Reconstruction of two holes (1st and 11th) began in autumn 2017 and these will be unveiled early in 2018. A further 4 holes will be re-modeled in the coming 2 years, with the prospect of a number of others to follow.  These upgrades will further enhance and strengthen the course's quality and will be exciting additions to an already excellent layout.

Currently measuring 6,490 yards from the men's competition tees, the course offers tree-lined fairways, water hazards and feature holes. The golfer is presented with a good balance in terms of playability and difficulty, but also fairness. The golfer to is also required to give some thought to their shot selection as the course throws a number of challenges in their path along the way.

The modern clubhouse boasts a comfortable restaurant offering top quality menus at very reasonable prices, a spacious and tastefully appointed bar/lounge and state of the art ladies and gents locker rooms. With its modern fully stocked pro shop and friendly staff, Ardee Golf Club is an ideal venue for visitors and societies. All are welcome and rates are very reasonable! Buggy and trolley hire is also available.
